What I'm Working On: Dari

I'm getting ready for some craft shows, and after all the sewing is done, I'm left with....scraps. But they're so pretty, I can't bear to throw them away! Some of them are long and skinny, while some are a few inches square.

So what to do? Some of the ways I've used them up so far:

Zipper pouches

Scarves

Headbands

I'm wondering what else I can do with these scraps. I've gotten suggestions like sachets, belts, and a quilt top. Any more ideas would be appreciated. What would you do with them?

  2. Hmn...I would take them to work and let kids make collages with them:)

  3. I make my packaging with scrap fabric...most recently curtains. They're kind of an envelope design like a pillow case with no zipper, just a fold over flap. You could use them as packaging when you sell your neck scarves...

  4. and I love to use scraps to decorate sweatshirts, collars, sleeves, around edges of pillowcases. Scraps are sometimes the best part of a project!!

  6. I looove your fabrics! How about some flowers to make hair pins... a big flower for a chocker necklace with a ribbon to wrap around your neck- or one for your wrist, like a corsage.
