What I'm Working on - JerseyGirlDesign

Over the past year, I've gotten such a positive response to my glitter-resin rings, I wanted to keep on expanding, and exploring the possibilities and most importantly answer the question: what exactly can you cover in glitter?

So what I have been and still am working on currently...barrettes!

Just a fun sparkly, pop of color for every day wear! I'm working on lots of colors, and different shapes and sizes, so there is something for everyone.

Let's Go Out: Farmer's Market

It's that time of year, warm weather brings people out to the local farmer's markets to purchase fresh and locally grown produce, flowers, and well pretty much anything!

Don't forget to take your reusable bags with you! This tote from Happy Family has the farmer's market feel!

My Three Things

Anyone who lived in the D.C. area during the '80s and '90s remembers
the great old radio station WHFS and Weasel the DJ. Weasel had a daily
feature called "My Three Songs"; in this game, he would present three
songs that had a common thread, theme, or leitmotif, and the object
was for the listeners to guess what it was.

Here are three items by Etsy artists. What do they have in common?
Give your answer in the comments below!

**Hint** the thing in common is not that everyone is a member of BEST ;)

Warm Soup for Cold Nights

Our cold and snowy winter has inspired me to get in the kitchen, and stir up big pots of warm soup. One of my favorites, because of it's pure deliciousness, and it's so easy to make...Italian Wedding Soup!

Ingredients:

Meatballs:
1 pound of ground meat (beef, chicken, pork)
1 egg
1 small onion, grated
garlic, salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup of shredded Parmesan cheese
1 cup breadcrumbs

Soup:
12 cups of chicken stock
1/2 box, thawed frozen spinach **the recipe calls for endive, which I never have on hand...I love frozen spinach, and always have that!
2 eggs
shredded Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Combine the meatball ingredients in a bowl, mix and form meatballs. I make mine as small as possible, but any size will work!

Bring the broth to a boil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and spinach and simmer- about 8-10 minutes. Whisk the eggs and cheese in a bowl. Stir the soup in a circular motion. Gradually drizzle the egg mixture into the moving broth, stirring gently with a fork to form thin stands of egg, about 1 minute. Season the soup to taste with salt and pepper.

I love to serve the soup with some crusty bread, and of course a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese on top :)
