Indie-pendent Business - The Laughing Pint

The Laughing Pint is a cool little neighborhood bar located in Highlandtown. Don’t expect a TV, they don’t have one of those, but you will find a great selection local art on the walls.

Proprietor Shannon Cassidy has a quaint little bar, featuring an awesome vintage 1930’s shuffleboard table. She offers free WiFi, 50 cent pool and a retro Multicade that includes favorites like Pac Man, Donkey Kong and Space Invaders.

Not your typical bar, the Pint hosts a weekly Drink & Draw Social Club. The Baltimore Chapter meets every Saturday and encourages patrons whip out their sketchbooks and compare doodles with other folks that love to draw. Drawing supplies are available at the bar, or people can bring their own.

Soon the Pint’s kitchen will be opening. Offering a more healthy choice than the usual pub grub, they are forgoing the fryer to serve up soups and sandwiches this Fall. Cocktail specials and dink specials change daily.

The Laughing Pint is located in the heart of the Highlandtown Arts and Entertainment District just blocks from the Creative Alliance at 3531 Gough St., Baltimore, MD 21224

Ahhh, I used to live right around the corner from The Laughing Pint, but never went in. I'll have to make a point of it next time I'm in the area. Great feature, Allison!
