What I'm Working on- Winter Bird Cards by Bowerbox Press

Do you love watching the winter birds at your birdfeeder? This notecard set in the works from Bowerbox Press features 4 common winter birds in the Baltimore-DC area- Cardinal, Junco, Nuthatch and Chickadee. Each card is a small watercolor painting, with a simplified identification of the bird.

Indie-Pendent Business: Emily's Cafe & Desserts

Have you heard about the new vegan restaurant that opened up in Baltimore a few months back?! Emily's Cafe & Desserts is cheerful little place in Mt. Washington where you can find animal and gluten-free yumminess! It's a great spot to stop by at lunchtime for soup and sandwiches and the most important course of a meal... dessert! There is a case filled with decadent cupcakes, donuts and cakes. They even have a whole line of special order vegan baked goods, including wedding cakes.

Stop by on one of their open studio tour dates and chat with the artists in their studios, enjoy refreshments and light fare!  The landmark Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower is located at 21 South Eutaw Street.

There is a new, must see book, out right now which serves as an amazing jump start if your brain is feeling a little slow in the creativity department. 1000 Ideas for Creative Reuse features 1000 images of objects made from recycled material made by artists from all over the world, and includes many Etsy artists, including yours truly, TheBrokenPlate.
