Get Your Craft On!

The Buyers Market of American Craft is happening at the  Baltimore Convention Center! If you're not familiar with the event, it is the nation’s largest wholesale tradeshow for artists who make their work by hand in the U.S. and Canada!  For the first time ever, the event will be open to the public on Sunday from 1-5pm!  Don't miss your chance to score some hand crafted awesomeness, meet the artists and see what inspires their work!  BEST's own Tigerlilly Shop,  Yummy and Company, Sugar Paperie, the littlest bean,  greenstarstudio, The Broken Plate Pendant Company and JennyJen42 will be exhibiting at this year's Buyer's Market.  Also on Sunday, you can enjoy a screening of  "Messages" the newest episode in the "Craft in America" series by PBS, from 11:30-1pm.

 

Going to Market

Have you ever wondered how your favorite boutiques and galleries find their amazing items? 

Typically they "go to market" where they find one of a kind,  handmade goods.  One of these markets is the Buyer's Market of American Craft, which takes takes place in both Baltimore and Philadelphia.  Here, you can find hundreds of craftsmen, showing off their new lines and taking lots of orders.  This year you can also find two Baltimore crafters taking their designs to the market! 

Both Allison Fomich of TigerLillyShop and Jennifer Wilfong of Yummy and Company will be at the Philadelphia Buyer's Market, February 17-21.

BEST at Buyers Market of American Craft

For nearly 30 years, the Buyers Market of American Craft has provided a professional, trade-only setting where makers and buyers of fine craft and art products develop wholesale contacts.

Held at the Baltimore Convention Center, the market runs from August 23-25.

This year, a number of members from BEST will be exhibiting, including The Broken Plate, The Littlest Bean, Yummy and Company, Tigerlilly Shop, Greenstar Studio, and Jersey Girl Design.
