Richardson Farms Winter Craft Show

The holiday season is well over, and, even though the weather has not been very cold (at least not through the end of January), it is still winter -- dark too early and with nothing blooming or growing. Instead of being depressed about that, why not spend a day or two at the Richardson Farms Winter Craft Show in White Marsh, February 11 from 10-5 and February 12 from 10 to 3.
Richardson is a fifth-generation family farm located in White Marsh, Maryland. Open year-round, Richardson Farms is the area headquarters for flowering and garden plants, and herbs, as well as being well known for their poultry. In 2010, they opened their new Farm Market, with freshly prepared food products from their extensive deli.

The Winter Craft Fair will take place in their 7000 square foot heated garden center, and will feature 70 artists over the two days. There will be fiber art, ceramics, glass, wood, jewelry, and more. The show will also be sponsoring a raffle to benefit the Pediatric Hydrocephalus Society.

BEST members Kelly's Keychains will be there with fanciful octopus creatures in the form of pendants, keychains, etc. and Wood Art for Living will be there selling handturned wood items including their ice cream scoops, cheese planes and other kitchen and desk ware.

So come and shop for fresh food - and then stop by the craft show to get something to brighten a winter day!
