I love Jen (of Jenlo262)'s aesthetic. She has everything I want from a painter- bold, warm colors, expressive brush strokes revealing the hand of the artist, charming subjects based on nature, and a friendly accessibility in style that all ages and walks of life can enjoy. Her voice as an artist is clear, fearless, and cohesive, and it’s clear to me as I look at her paintings that she had a great time creating them! In my opinion, Jen has struck the ideal balance between representation and abstraction. You recognize at once the subject of her images, but she captures more than just appearance- the essence or feeling of that subject is revealed simultaneously, in the very Jenniest way! Recipe: The BEST Brownie

Bake for 25 minutes in greased 9x13" pan.

You know you want it. The best brownie recipe I’ve ever tasted.

Blend:

1 1/2 sticks melted butter

4 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

Mix in a separate bowl:

2 C sugar

1 1/2 C flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 C cocoa

1/2 teaspoon salt

Frosting:

1/2 box confectioner's sugar

1/2 stick butter

1/4 C cocoa


Mix and add enough milk to make spreadable. Spread on warm brownies. Cut when cool. Like you could wait that long.

Now, normally I am a brownie purist, and enjoy them best without frosting, but this particular variety works so spectacularly in concert with the brownie that I strongly recommend adding it. If you are already a fan of Texas cake, you'll want to try this recipe. YUM!

From the printed feather design on the red part, the earthy color choices, the button, the fit, down to the contrast stitching that varies with each new shape and layer, this is a stunning headband that’s quickly become my favorite accessory. It looks great with all warm colors, and matches my hair, eyes, and skin just so. I get tons of complements on it and have since purchased another in an icy cool palette. Highly recommended, and super unique!
