The tragic event that struck Japan have gathered people around the globe to help people who suffer from the earthquake, tsunami and now the radiation leak. Since the day I heard the news, I couldn’t stop thinking about how to help, just like so many others.
I always find craft communities are very responsive to the needs of the world at large. Here I would like to feature what some of our Baltimore Etsy Street Team members are doing to be a little help.

In NAMOO’s blog, there is an auction going on this week to support Global Giving’s Japan Relief Fund. A winner will receive a package of handmade items as below!
* Namoo’s handmade hexagon pillow that consists of linen fabrics from Japan and textured linen pillow
* Tarabu’s Bento Buddies that are custom made for the auction thinking about the basic comforts of a good meal
* A beautiful bangle watch from AtelierAdornments
* Sugar and Spice Massage Oil and Blend Set to treat yourself to a sweet, spicy and exotic bath from Becca & Mars.
Please visit NAMOO’s blog to check out the awesome package and help spread the word! The auction ends on March 26th, 2011.

Also, go check out BeepPeeps’s bag made of Japanese Designer Etsuko Fruya’s gorgeous Echino Patchwork — 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this item will be donated to Doctors Without Borders and their relief efforts in Japan!
