Farmer's Market

My school will be hosting a farmers market! I am very excited about this, who doesn’t like a good farmers market? The University of Maryland, Baltimore has partnered with the community to make this happen. The "University Farmers' Market" will feature local farmers providing fresh fruits and vegetables, artisan cheeses, eggs, poultry, seafood, meat, baked goods, and ice cream. Opening day for the farmers market will be on Tuesday May 5th and will run every Tuesday until October.

Hours of Operation: 10:30am – 2:30pm, every Tuesday

Location: Plaza Park -- (on the Paca Street side) – The plaza park is right across from the hospitals main entrance, the hospitals address is 22. S. Greene St. Baltimore, MD 21201

Sponsored by: UMMC Recycles
Downtown Market Center (On the Westside)
UMB Go Green

This is the first year that the University is hosting this farmers market. I encourage all of you readers to check it out, I am hoping to go on Tuesday as well. If any blog readers out there happen to make it to the farmers market, post a comment and let me know what you think!

The area boxed in by Paca, Greene, Baltimore and Redwood Streets is the Plaza Park!
