A Toast to Spring

Spring is finally here... and you know what that means... time for sipping on cocktails on the front stoop!

This recipe for White Sangria is quick, easy and great for any occasion!

Ingredients for one batch:
one bottle of chardonnay (any kind will do)
3/4 cup of peach Schnapp's
4-6 cups of fresh fruit (more or less...it's up to you!)

Step one...chill the wine and Schnapp's! I usually do this the night before, so everything is ready to go.

Step two...That night I also chop the fruit. I typically use apples, pears, and grapes, but any combo of fruit will do!

Step three...Put fruit into pitcher with Schnapps and let the fruit soak up the schnapps. Refrigerate overnight.

Next day...

Step four...Add wine to the Schnapp's and fruit and serve.

Step five...let the fun begin!

*Note* If serving at a party, be sure to let your guests know that the Sangria is spiked with Schnapp's...it is pretty sweet and tasty and might lead one to imbibe more than they planned! To avoid a hangover remember to have plenty of water and other non-alcoholic beverages available to keep everyone happy and hydrated!!!

You read my mind! I was just talking with friends about having some white sangria and sitting outside at Tapas Teatro... I should just make my own now!
